Mirror in hand, lipstick in the other,
Ruby red lips seal the secrets of her life,
Dashing brown eyes veiled in black,
A vision of beauty and perfection.

Hair, brushed impeccably,
Dare not move for fear of attack,
Choked by the think smog that freezes it,
A vision of Insanity.

Skin gagging from make-up overload,
A luminous glow that lights the way,
Every colour in the rainbow exhibited,
Vanity.

The Image of Vanity

"Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the vainest of them all?"

"With skin so orange,
you'd luminate the world,
A spotlight is your life.
With heels so high,
you tower them all.

Mirrors, make-up, brushes, hairspray,
the tools of her trade,

Vanity

*this was some poems i wrote for an assignement in class so i thought I'd put them onto my blog. The poems mostly have the the same name - Vanity. One of the seven deadly sin. ;)

A mirror glued to your hand,
every minute another glance,
a spot would never do.

Any flaw, in any way,
covered up before a second passed,
A mask to cover your face.

A mask to hide your identity,
A mask for a person,
A mask for life!

The Blackness

The world so im told,
Is full of colours,
The colours of people's lives'.

The only thing i see around me,
Is the blackness of misery,
Of the void that I'm in.

It sucks me deeper,
Pulling me as i thrash,
I'm falling in deeper and deeper.

The darkness that surrounds me,
Its not painful or cold,
Its really quite peaceful,
Its Nothing.

A Thousand Words

Your eyes are the gateway to your soul,
The very portals to your life,
In them I look and am swallowed whole,
But in them i see the love,
The love you feel for me.

Your eyes are gorgeous,
They sparkle in the light,
Millions of diamonds make up the brown,
A thousand words in one look,
A thousand smiles just for me.

My eyes are forever yours,
They tell you what you want to hear,
The truth in words i cannot say,
The words 'I love You',
So hard to release from my tongue.

A million words in just one look,
Who needs words when I have your eyes,
Eternally loving me,
Eternally mine.

To you, my love.

You make me laugh,
you make me smile,
you make me happy,
you make me me.

When im alone,
I dream of you,
the endless days,
but what to do.

I close my eyes,
and there you are,
that smiling face,
Your gorgeous eyes.

In your eyes,
I am often lost,
deep in your soul,
swallowed by your love,
your love for me.

Never forget,
that i love you,
always have,
always will.

Where...

This isn't very good.. im still working on it.. but here goes.

where do you go when the sun goes down,
the times when life gets tough,
do you sit and think of me,
like i do of u?
Do you dream of when we are together?

Where do you turn when you need a hug,
when you need a shoulder to cry on.
Who is it that you turn to in times of need?
Do you dream of when we are together?

I know that i need you.
To keep me strong and support me,
but who's there to do that for you

Mine Eternally

His eyes are full pof hatred,
Enticing like friendly fire,
I don't know what he thinks,
I know he does not love me,
But he is mine.

He tells me what he wants,
So much power he has in mind,
But to get to him, that power would cost lives,
The lives of all i know.

I know that i should run,
Run far away from him, my love.
But running away is saying goodbye,,
And i can't leave the one i love.

He has a power of strength,
It's dangerous, but tempting,
His power, is what keeps me here,
His power is my lover.

Me!

My blood runs cold just thinking of it,
I can still hear my heart racing in my ears,
I do not blink, for its not safe.

If i were a vampire, i'd have run in fright,
If i were a ghost, i'd have laughed,
But i am a girl, my brain my weapon,
I cannot give in, I will not give up.

I am strong and alive,
Not dead, like my friends,
They still whisper and talk to me,
They never leave, but i am happy.

They tell me where to go,
Where to run, or where to hide,
If i was blind, they'd be my eyes,
My angels, and so much more.

Without them i feel alone,
But sometimes i feel crowded,
I know that there is hope,
For hope is what i live on,
I know i am alone.

Blind

It is so dark, I cannot see,
But i know he is here too,
I can hear him breathe, his heart-beat,
I am not alone in these parts.

He walks towards me, I can't think,
As my heart races, I know to run,
I don't look back for life dies young,
But still my mind wonders.

If i had stayed, where would i be now?
Surely, my life would have changed,
I will never know nor shall i ever,
For time cannot be changed.

I never rest,
I am never at peace, as my soul still walks,
And so it shall until i find him,
For my soul belongs with him.

I Am Alone!

Sorry folks for all these slightly depressing poems... but that was how i felt at the time of writing them....

It feels ice cold,

And i feel no warmth,
people love,
it blossoms in the sun,

I look in your eyes,

and i see your soul,

i know that you love me,

and it makes me smile.

I look to the skies,

and thank god in heaven,

for i know i have got you,

if not forever, at least for now.

I look around me,

and i see hearts breaking,

all the pain that surrounds me,

but it doesn't affect me,

cause i have YOU!

In My Eyes

In my eyes your perfect,
from your head down to your feet,
you look at me like I'm nothing,
like i don't exist in your world,
when you notice changes,
my heart swells in delight,
your the only man for me,
my one and only light,

I can't control my mind,
where it takes me, where i go.

I know that you'll see me one day,
but that day seems far off,
I feel so hurt, so empty,
I cannot survive without you,
when you left, my heart ached,
you left a hole behind,
and i will never let go.

In my eyes your everything,
But i love really is blind!
